Trend to try –stacked rings.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that finger tip rings, stacked rings and layered rings have been super popular for the past year. This trend shows no signs of slowing down, so here’s a few tips for nailing the look.
1. Keep it simple
When you’re wearing that many rings on five fingers, the key is keeping the rings themselves super minimal. You want to have some very plain, thin bands, some thicker bands, some interesting shapes and then a select few featuring gemstones. Be sure to keep the rings in all the same colour—silver, gold or rose gold. This is not a mix and match situation!
2. What goes where?
One of the most difficult parts of stacking rings is figuring out which rings to put on which fingers. Because you’ve got eight fingers (don’t go for the thumbs, super inconvenient), you’re kind of spoilt for choice. A foolproof formula would be:
- Do one pinky ring, not one on each hand
- Put a thin fingertip ring and a simple jewelled ring on the same finger
- Do your pointer finger and your ring finger, leave the middle finger blank
- Do just a fingertip ring, depending on what else you’ve got on the hand you could make it a plain band, a cool shape or a gemstone
3. Finishing touches
Because stacking rings is some serious hand candy, make sure to pair it with a sleek mani. Keep the polish to a single colour. Warm-toned colours look amazing with gold or rose gold rings, while cool-toned colours match silver perfectly. If you’re not sure what to go with, French manicures or a colour close to your skin tone will work every time! Depending on how bold you’re feeling you may want to just stick to a simple watch, or adorn yourself with beautiful bracelets—up to you!
